THE SENSOR GUARD ISOLATES AND ABSORBS EXTERNAL FORCES

The oil level sensor on BMW R models protrudes downward from the oil sump and is at risk of breaking when bottoming out on curbs or ramps, particularly with a passenger or full load.

This plastic sensor cannot withstand such forces and may be damaged, including its wiring. Damage may cause error messages or oil leakage, potentially harming the engine and environment.

Our sensor guard creates a protective enclosure that shields the sensor from these external forces. The advantages: damage prevention and reduced risk of breakdowns due to sensor failure.

The stainless steel core is covered with vibration-absorbing rubber, vulcanised under heat and pressure for a durable bond. A channel guides the sensor cable and allows water drainage.

The sensor protector is a useful complement to the STREET engine guard (#14220-002) but can also be installed independently.
